2014 Recap

Looking back at the past twelve months, I’m overwhelmingly grateful. I turned 26, enjoyed the second year of being with Jake, celebrated the life of my Grandpa Franklin and celebrated a year at my job, I feel very fortunate. However, if there’s anything I am most appreciative of, it’s all of my family and friend’s enthusiastic love and support. I hope everyone has a fantastic New Year and here is a recap of a month to month view of the year 2014!

January– We started off 2014 with two snow days right off the bat. Those two days consisted of watching a lot of Netflix, building snowmen and making snow angels. Toward the end of January Morgan celebrated her birthday by getting the Indianapolis Brew Bus.

February- Jake had surprised me for Christmas with a trip to Las Vegas. We had an amazing four day vacation, losing all of our money, exploring the city and watching cirque du soleil show “O”.

March- March kicked off with a St. Patty’s Day bar crawl downtown Indianapolis followed by a girl’s trip to Sarosota Florida. We ended the month by celebrating Ellington’s 4th Birthday at her under the sea themed party.

April- Desperate for more warmth and sunshine Meredith and I made the 5 hour trip south of Indy to visit college friends we hadn’t seen in months! We did tons of catching up, eating, and dancing in downtown Nashville!

May- May was by the far the most eventful month of the year! I was lucky enough to be a part of my roommates engagement! My parents came to Indy for Mother’s day to celebrate at the Rathskeller. I spent my Memorial Day Weekend probably doing what most people living in the midwest were doing walking an insane distance, sweating uncontrollably and joining in the Indy 500 madness!

June- June was just as crazy and hectic as May. It was filled with lots of grilling out and relaxing by the pool. We took a family trip to Country Heritage Winery one weekend. We rented the Pacer’s bikes downtown, attended the IMA Outdoor Movies and went to the Tim McGraw concert. In June I celebrated Meredith’s birthday and spent a weekend at Crooked Lake.

July- Celebrated Jake’s Birthday, spent 4th of July at Sylvan Lake, Kari visits Indy & girl’s weekend with the family in Naperville, IL.

August- French Lick trip for Jake’s Dad’s birthday full of zip lining, rock climbing & go karting. We ended the month celebrating Chaz’s wedding on the lake!

September- Volleyball tournament, Jenny’s wedding at the Indianapolis library downtown and the Handlebar Indy with friends.

October- Al visits, Myrtle Beach for Sean and Mia’s wedding, Kalyn’s birthday celebration downtown and girls night filled with fall treats and pumpkin carving
