How is it already February? One of my goals in the New Year was to read more books and I have yet to pick one up. I simply just haven’t found the time to sit down and read.

The last book I read cover to cover…besides the Hunger Game Series was Liane Moriarty, The Husband’s Secret. I am going to make it my goal to pick up a book this week and finish it!

I have listed my top books I want to read below and I would love if you could share yours, too! Of course it doesn’t have to be ten, but would love to hear what you’re currently reading or what’s also on your list.

Happy Reading! Xo.

Book Review: The Husband’s Secret

From the moment I read reviews about The Husband’s Secret, I was hooked into the story. I was just so curious and I really just wanted to know WHAT was in that letter and what this huge secret they were speaking of! The story sucked me in and I just kept reading and reading and reading and it became my impromptu next read almost against my will just because I literally could not put it down. I finished the book in three days!

I won’t say too much about the plot but it’s a very complex story that starts off with three main story lines following the lives of three women:

– a woman who discovered a life-changing secret
– a woman who was betrayed by her husband
– a woman whose past had been stolen

What none of them know is that they are all connected.

If you’re looking for something different I would definitely recommend giving this book a try!

The Book of Awesome

Some of my favorite “Awesome Things” from the book:

  • When cashiers open up new checkout lines at the grocery store
  • When you get the milk-to-cereal ratio just right
  • Picking the perfect nacho off someone else’s plate
  • Tripping and realizing no one saw you
  • Nailing a parellel parking spot on the first try
  • The sound of ice cubes cracking in a drink
  • That one square in the waffle that is the most loaded with butter and syrup
  • Getting something with actual handwriting in the mail
  • Squeezing through a door as it’s shutting without touching it
  • Watching your odometer click over a major milestone
  • Finding money in your pocket
