Floral Fever

Happy Monday!

All Summer I have been seeing vintage florals everywhere and some of the places they have been popping up are a little unexpected. I hope that this trend continues throughout the fall because I am slowly filling my closet with floral items.

I  definitely wear my florals year round. You can master the floral trends in one of two easy ways: Pair them with bright solid tones or you can opt for muted tones and simply add the outfit surprise with textures and pattern. Stripes are the easiest pattern to pair with florals–never fails! Give it a shot!

Blazer Love

Ah, the blazer: a timeless piece. There really isn’t much this tailored jacket can’t do, which is why it will always hold a place in our closets. You need one in just about every color for this fall! It’s great for not only interviews & work but also perfect for date night and a day out and about paired with jeans, dresses, tights, I could go on and on because it’s so versatile! Behold — 5 stylish blazer and top pairings that will transform everywhere from the office to your living room.

Sweater Dress

The weather has been perfect around these parts! A little chilly in the morning but warm enough to still throw on a dress and booties and head out the door!

There are dresses, and then there are sweater dresses. Just like you threw on an oversized knit top and forgot pants. Wear them now barelegged with booties, and then mix in some tights when the temperatures drop. Some favorites from around the web…

Summer Weddings Cont.

My best friend Meredith got married this past July! The day was full of love, happy tears and celebrating.

We had way too much fun getting ready while drinking Sophia mini’s, riding around in golf carts after the ceremony and hogging the photo booth the entire night.

Meredith looked stunning and her new husband was quite handsome as well.

As promised, I finally have more amazing pictures of Meredith’s big day! I am obsessed with them and wish we could redo such a perfect day!

HERE is a link of the IPhone pictures I posted of her wedding back in July and their adorable engagement story you won’t want to miss.

Enjoy…

Chelsea Boots

chelsea boos

I am totally pumped to go shopping for fall accessories and clothes after packing away all of my summer clothes this past weekend. I just made two big trips to Goodwill of clothes that I haven’t wore in years to make room for some new great pieces to add to the wardrobe!

Chelsea boots are on top of my want list for fall. They are a must have this season! They look great worn with skinny jeans, leggings, with a chunky knit sweater, blazer, a blouse, a long length knit cardigan, okay you get the idea they can basically look great with everything! They are such a great wardrobe staple. They immediately give off that rock and roll vibe since The Beatles rocked them but can also be super chic.

They are not only perfect for fall but also great paired with a dress and tights over the winter months basically the best ‘every day’ boot! You can opt for flat chelsea’s or if you prefer you can opt for one with a small block heel – Both look equally as good.

Check out some of my favorite looks around the web of how to style them:

Off Shoulder Style

You guys, I can’t believe how quickly summer is coming to an end but I am SO looking forward to spending the next three weekends ending Summer with a bang! This weekend you can find us at the Jason Aldean concert, the following weekend is my cousin’s lake bachelorette party, Labor Day Weekend then off on a cruise with the boyfriend. With four full summer filled weekends left filled with outdoor activities, there is still plenty of time to pick up some last minute essentials! If I have learned one thing this Summer it’s that off the shoulder tops are totally in.

I’ve rounded up some of my favorite off the shoulder tops and dresses you can still rock the rest of summer!

Friday Favorites: Derby Attire

I am beyond excited that the month of May has finally arrived. This month kicks off my crazy, hectic, jammed packed, summer schedule!

I am looking forward to all of the events we have planned this month: engagement parties, bachelorette trips to Miami and Chicago, Indy 500, Memorial day weekend, Jake and I moving in together & my parents visiting us!

What are your May plans?

We are starting off the month with a Derby themed couples shower this Saturday…how fun is that? The ladies will be all decked out in hats, dresses and wedges and the boys will be wearing their bow ties! The Kentucky Derby is a chance for every female to express her inner Southern Belle so I have compiled a list of fun fashion ideas for you to wear this weekend.

Wedges

Clutch

An envelope clutch is the perfect accessories to add to you wardrobe.

Spring Rain Gear

Happy Hump Day! These last two months haven’t exactly been the warmest for central Indiana, but now that it’s almost May, things are finally starting to thaw and the sun is shining much more. The forecast is starting to warm up with higher temperatures, while we will  definitely still have our gloomy and rainy days ahead.

But you don’t have to be a wet mess. First, consider upgrading your umbrella. The let’s take a look at new rain coat options and rain boots that will leave you dry!
