Have you updated your phone to iOS 10 yet? I did last night and cannot believe all of the changes and new features it has! I spent all of last night trying to figure out all of the new texting options. My favorite one so far is the “Slam” option. Normally when I want to react to an exciting text message from my friends and family I respond with a zillion emojis and exclamation marks. Now with the new update you can put a little more emphasis in your response with the new feature.

What you do: The next time you’d like to react to a text, type what you want to say , then hold the send button for a few seconds. (FYI, it’s the blue arrow pointing up.)

A list of bubble effects appears. Tap loud if you’d like to shout back an oversize reply or slam if you’d like your reaction to appear on her screen in a big dramatic burst. You will see that there is also a gentle and invisible ink option. The invisible ink option is nifty if you’d like to hide your note it will disappear and reappear if you tap it.

Now go ahead and slam your excitement!
