Tomorrow is Halloween and the last day of October! Can you even believe it? Last night I marked off another Fall bucket list item- Carve a pumpkin!
We hosted a little Halloween-themed shindig last night at our apartment with some girlfriends. I’ve wanted to have a Pumpkin Carving Party for years and always put it off because of the huge mess I imagined it would be. I didn’t really want to do it inside, and living in an apartment we have no yard to use but our dining room ended up being the perfect spot for this party and the mess was a lot less than I had imagined.
I had never used a stencil to carve a pumpkin before so it was a bit of a learning experience. My roommate cut her first and had a mishap having to use the other side of her pumpkin, it was pretty hilarious! I successfully created my owl-inspired jack-o-lantern!
The drinks were Cider and whipped vodka in cute mason jars with handles and fun straws. We had tons of fall themed snacks- candy corn, pumpkin cupcakes & candy corn rice krispies.
The Materials
Most of these pumpkin-carving materials are easy to get and relatively inexpensive. The actual pumpkin itself could potentially get expensive if you are paying for everyone’s pumpkin, so to keep costs down, ask your guests to bring their own pumpkin.
