It’s been a couple of months since I finished my bar cart but for some reason it just slipped my mind to share a few photos with you all. It was a very easy DIY project and so far one of my favorites because it looks great without having to break the bank. While in Naperville I experienced IKEA for the first time ever and it was love at first sight. I couldn’t believe all of the afforadble home furniture and decor…I was in heaven!
For months I was looking for an affordable bar cart for Jake’s apartment since his cabinet space is limited. I found tons of options but none were within my price range. So after some brainstorming I realized that IKEA had the perfect solution for what I wanted.
I purchased the bar cart above from Ikea for just $40.99 and then went to Target to get the green paper to brighten it up.
I’ve been slowly stocking it up and it’s still a work in progress. The top shelf is designated for the coffee lovers: vintage coffee cups (garage sale find), a Keurig coffee maker and an ice bucket filled with an assortment of K-cups.
The second shelf has mixers ( coke ), shot glasses and a drink shaker. The bottom shelf has hard alcohol and an assortment of beer pint glasses and some wine glasses.I am not very good a mixing drinks but plan on experimenting a bit so I just have a few of the things that I enjoy the most on the bottom shelf.
Now that I did my very first IKEA Hack I feel like I need to try another one. Have any of you done any IKEA hacks? Would love to see them.
