It has been awhile since I have written a DIY (Do-It-Yourself) post. Growing up, I always loved doing craft projects, making things & coloring. At age 7, I was selling friendship bracelets, beaded animals and hemp woven necklaces to make some extra cash.
While at home this weekend for Easter my mom gave me a couple bags of her old clip on earrings and showed me an idea she had seen off of Etsy. Anyway, after finishing one bracelet I was hooked. Not only did it turn out really cool, I couldn’t believe how simple it was. These bracelets will make unique holiday gifts, so I’m excited to pass along this simple tutorial. So here it goes, my friends…
What you need:
- Vintage Clip on Earrings (garage sales, goodwill, salvation army)
- Bracelet Blank (Hobby Lobby) $3.99
- Metal Cutters
- Super Glues
As far as the glue goes, make sure you purchase one that dries clearly and is for metal products.
I pried the backs off of each earring using metal cutters. After removing the clips off of each earring I arranged the earrings in a row and then glued them to bracelet blanks and linked them together.
Enjoy!
