Since we were up so late the night before, we allowed ourselves the luxury of sleeping in today. The afternoon started off at another delicious restaurant Hash House Of Go Go. Located in the newest part of the strip at The Quad. This restaurant has received national recognition from The Steve Harvey Show, Martha Stewart, Al Roker, and Adam Richman of the Travel Channel’s “Man Vs. Food.”
All of their portions are HUGE. We split the Chorizo House Hash tossed with crispy potatoes & topped w/ 2 eggs, served with fruit and biscuit and couldn’t even finish the whole meal between the two of us!
After a fabulous meal, the two of us headed to the New York New York probably the most recognizable hotel in Las Vegas. We spent hours exploring the ins and outs of this hotel. The most notable attractions here were the dueling pianos at Bar at Times Square, an authentic Irish Pub – Nine Fine Irishmen, tons of shops, Coyote Ugly Bar and The Roller Coaster.
After two days of checking out all of the hotels on the strip we took a cab over to The Palms. The off-strip Palms offers a great night life scene and an amazing casino.
Jake played roulette for a couple hours while I cheered him on at the table every time he won. On a winner’s high, he cashed in his chips and we headed back to Planet Hollywood for the night. I’d caught the bug, and the gambling itch followed me around for the remainder of our time in Vegas.
