Our sixth annual girl’s weekend was a success. My mom and I hadn’t been up to Crooked Lake since last fourth of July, and I forgot how amazing it is. My mom and I headed up there Thursday night to get all of the food ready before everyone arrived on Friday morning. This was the first girl’s weekend that we had celebrated somewhere other than Naperville, Illinois. We enjoyed a few leisurely days soaking up the sun, boating and tubing, watching the sunset, dancing on the patio, playing dress up and putting on a fashion show, great cocktails, pyramids and cartwheels in the yard, some sandbox fun and spending time with the family. It was about as quintessential of a summer break as you can get! 🙂
