Supplies:
4 square tiles from your local hardware store (4.25″ x 4.25″) the ones that I bought were only .16 cents each from Lowe’s
4 pieces of scrapbook paper (3.75″ x 3.75″)
4 pieces of felt (3.75″ x 3.75″)
Mod Podge
Sponge brush
Glue (i.e. Fabri-tac or other strong adhesive)
Clear acrylic sealer
With a price tag of less than $2.00 for the whole project, I made homemade scrapbook coasters for the Holidays and Christmas gifts last night!
Let get started! Begin by cutting four pieces of scrapbook paper to fit your tiles. I made mine slightly smaller so I would have a small border around each tile.
Using a foam brush, apply mod podge to the back of your paper in a thin layer. Let dry and then apply four pieces of thick fabric to almost cover the bottom of your tiles. This will protect your furniture and not scratch up the wood!
