On my day off Wednesday I had time for a little bit of shopping at Edinburgh Outlet Mall and found a few tops from J. Crew and a pair of knit leggings from American Eagle.

I bought a J.Crew Gray Cardigan that will be cozy and comfortable this Fall. They had so many cute cardigans on sale that can be layered over a dress, over a blouse, or just over a cami!

New black striped J.Crew knit top that has so much flexibility! I can layer it, wear with pastel colors, bold colors and neutral 🙂

I bought American Eagle Navy Knit leggings. After wearing them to work this week I am now tempted to go online and buy the Burgundy color after finding out how comfortable they are!

Salsa Chicken Recipe.

Wednesday I had the day off work so I made this simple crockpot salsa chicken recipe that I found at Semi Homemade Mom Blog.  I had to share it with everyone because it tasted AMAZING & it is super easy!

Slow Cooker Salsa Chicken
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (frozen is fine)
1 cup salsa
1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 packet taco seasoning
1/2 cup sour cream (add in after cooking)
6 tortillas

Color Obsession: Mixed Greens for Fall

Happy happy Friday!! I am excited and looking forward to a weekend full of nice weather & enjoying a relaxing Sunday watching football.

Now that we’re officially one week into the Fall season, lets look at all of my favorite ways to add a little green into your Fall wardrobe.

Essie Pretty Edgy in the Sun nail polish

You’re gonna need some hot green pants this Fall for your wardrobe, I bought mine this summer from the Mossimo line at Target for only $22 dollars.

Lately I have absolutely loved looking on Pinterest at all of the creative fall decorations. With October just around the corner and pumpkin patch outings on this months schedule I decided to post my favorite Pumpkin inspirations that I will be trying soon. I love the ones that are all glittery and sparkley and the chevron painted pumpkins 🙂

P is for Peacoat.

The peacoat is the perfect addition to everyone’s collection of outerwear this Fall/Winter season. To appear more defined purchase one with a tailored waist and make sure that it hits you at a good comfortable length, I like when they fall just below the hips. You can add chunky scarves and gloves to accessorize the coat!

2012 Emmy Awards Red Carpet

In no particular order, here are my personal picks for best-dressed at this year’s Emmy Awards:

Hayden Panettiere in Marchesa

Many people were on the fence about Hayden’s choice to wear this Marchesa gown, but absolutely loved it.

Allison Williams in Oscar de la Renta

Gorgeous green peplum gown by Oscar de la Renta

Heidi Klum’s sea-foam green dress

Julianne Hough

Red Lips.

Red has always been the ultimate statement in glamour and has been for generations. I was always timid by the idea of wearing bright red lipstick until recently and now I love the idea. This fall, lips are going darker so I need to invest in some new dark colored lipstick.

I have found that the trick is to apply the lipstick, then kiss some of it off on a tissue, so it stains your lips. Then reapply a top coat making it last forever!

Get it now:  Nars Pure Matte Lipstick $25.00; MAC $15.00; Clinique Almost in Black Honey $15.00

Happy First Day of Fall.

The arrival of pumpkin spice lattes at Starbucks marks the unofficial start of the Fall season…perfect start to this Friday morning. Tomorrow afternoon Kalyn and I leave for Muncie Indiana for Family weekend at Ball State. I cannot wait to tailgate, watch football, and see my family this weekend. I love going back and visiting college, the weather is supposed to be super brisk – perfect Football weather. I’m bringing along some of my colder weather clothes and I am super excited about all of the good tailgate food! Have a great weekend!
