Holy Guacamole!

  • 3 avocados – peeled, pitted, and mashed
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 roma (plum) tomatoes, diced
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 pinch ground cayenne pepper (optional)

In a medium bowl, mash together the avocados, lime juice, and salt. Mix in onion, cilantro, tomatoes, and garlic. Stir in cayenne pepper. Refrigerate 1 hour for best flavor, or serve immediately.

On my half day of work this week, Kalyn, Beth, Morgan and I decided to go to Broadripple to enjoy the nice Spring weather! We walked around and took full advantage of the sunshine by sitting outside at all of the bars.

I just found out today that in October MAC Cosmetics will celebrate Marilyn Monroe’s legacy and iconic beauty look with a limited edition color cosmetics collection. Ahh looks like I will be waiting to use my gift card until then!

It’s Lent Season!

While I’m not Catholic, I decided to give up all sweets for the 40 days of lent. Three weeks have gone by and I have only slipped up once (thanks mom I blame you for tempting me with puppy chow). By giving up sweets I mean all sugary treats like cakes, pies, cookies, candies, and all of the other goodies. It hasn’t been as hard as what I thought it was going to be, but I am already  planning on the first treat I am going to make once lent is over: Easter Egg CAKE POPS!
