A few of my favorite memories from the past year…..
The year 2010 started out great with a spontaneous trip to Las Vegas in January to celebrate my 21st birthday. Kalyn, Kari, Laura,Beth, & I spent the 4 days in Vegas celebrating the fact that I was finally legal. We spent our time in Vegas going to clubs, laying around the pool, and getting free limo rides.
In February Lady Gaga came to Purdue to perform in Elliot Hall.
In March my cousin Ashley had this little bundle of joy 🙂 Miss Ellington Kate
During April I went to my first breakfast club at Purdue during Grand Prix weekend. We dressed up as the Legends of the Hidden Temple 90’s television show. This costume was a hit since we got our picture in the Exponent. Grand Prix was a week full of beer olympics, day drinking, & den pops.
Also in April we had mom’s weekend for my sorority. For mom’s weekend we had a luncheon, did a lot of shopping, and also had an adventurous night out to Harry’s Chocolate Shop.
During the summer I spent the majority of my time working two jobs, but in my free time I took full advantage of laying by the pool. I squeezed in some time to have fun and go out with my friends from home and met up with some friends from school. In May we went to Chicago to celebrate Al’s 21st Birthday! It was so much fun celebrating her birthday downtown at Mcfaddens and dancing on her party bus.
In August my mom and I spent a weekend in Naperville having our annual girls weekend with my aunts and cousins! This weekend was full of intense games of flippy cup, great food, shopping, apples to apples, and we had a craft night.
We went to a lot of tin cap games during the summer……
In October I celebrated Halloween at Ball State with Kalyn. I always look forward to celebrating Halloween because I love dressing up! One night I dressed up as a boxer and the next night as an Indian.
In November my parents came to Purdue for a weekend to celebrate Dad’s weekend. It was a blast having them go to Breakfast Club with us before the Purdue game against Wisconsin. I dressed up as an 80’s workout girl and my dad wore a throw back jacket with an afro!
In my favorite month of the year DECEMBER I attended Ugly Sweater parties, ate way to many christmas cookies, celebrated New Years in Chicago, & celebrated my birthday!
